SAFER Project Hosts Migration Awareness Event in Lower Dir

On July 25, 2024, Digital Time Communications held the 14th SAFER project event under the Pervaaz Campaign at the Government Institute auditorium in Timergara, Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The event, attended by approximately 70 young men aged 18-30, aimed to raise awareness about the risks of irregular migration to Europe and the opportunities available within Pakistan. Key speakers included youth development expert Mr. Anees ur Rehman and diaspora member Junaid Shah, who shared real-life insights on migration challenges and the potential dangers of scams and unreliable agents. Attendees engaged actively, discussing local opportunities for skill development and enterprise, as well as cultural and safety considerations when migrating abroad. The event also featured entertainment segments with cricket highlights and live poetry, and concluded with a lunch provided to participants.
